Don't you just love spending a few days at Singapore, escaping from this polluted city Jakarta? I do. Here are some 'oleh-oleh' for you readers from my last visit there.
Yong Tau Foo-Food Junction / Laksa Yong Tau Foo Bee Hoon
In Singapore, you could find yong tau foo on every other side of the city. I ate this yong tau foo with laksa gravy and bee hoon at Food Junction, the food court of Bugis Junction. Overall it was quite tasty, but I think yong tau foo is best served with clear soup.
Gindaco Takoyaki / Original Takoyaki - 4pcs + Matcha (SGD 5)
You could find this yummy takoyaki at B4 floor ION Orchard. I picked the takoyaki with original sauce + drink package. The takoyakis are delicious, it was the matcha I dislike.

Gong Cha / Milk Green Tea (SGD 2,50)
Gong Cha is quite popular in Singapore. I saw ppl carrying a Gong Cha cup in plastic bag all over the mall. So, I decided to give it a try. I picked Gong Cha Milk Green Tea. They let us decided our own way to enjoy the tea, by stirring it up, or zip it up unstirred. They also gave the sugar level options when ordering, from 0% to 100%. The tea overall was quite refreshing, but I didn't really feel the green tea.
Ikea Restaurant / Duck Breast + Chocolate Fudge Cake + Esprit Raspberry Drink (SGD 13, 80)
Ikea Restaurant / Almond Cake (SGD 3.50)
Ikea Restaurant / Cheese Cake (SGD 3.80)
I always go to Ikea every time I visit Singapore, even just for the food, and taking pictures at the showrooms. I gotta recommend you the Duck Breast, it was delicious! Too bad you couldn't order the Duck Breast itself cause it was part of a package along with the Chocolate Fudge cake and Esprit drink. The Chocolate Fudge cake was so so, the cinnamon taste was too strong for me. The Almond Cake was yummy. The Cheese Cake was a bit to sweet, but still yummy.
Lakeview - Lau Pa Sat / Fried Carrot Cake (SGD 3)
Singapore is famous for its carrot cake. There are two types of carrot cake, the black one (with black soybean sauce) and the white one (salty one). This fried carrot cake from Lakeview was quite yummy. It is called carrot cake, but actually the basic ingredients are radish & rice flour those create a chewy texture, and the sauce taste is quite similar to char kway teow's sauce.
Xia Zhong Fishball Noodle - Lau Pa Sat / Fishball Noodle - Dry (SGD 3)
Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodle - Food Opera ION / Fishball Noodle - Dry (SGD 5)
I've been craving for mee pok since a few weeks ago. Mee pok is a type of noodle that is flat and yellow, from the Teochew origin. One of the most common mee pok in singapore is the fishball mee pok. I ate mee pok twice last week. The first one was at Food Opera - ION, the Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodle, the second one was at Lau Pa Sat, the Xia Zhong fishball noodle. Which one was more delicious? I gotta say, Li Xin's one was more delicious, the fishballs were good, and the sauce was more tasty. Could anybody inform me where could I find any tasty mee pok here in Jakarta?
Takashimaya Food Court/ Mango Pudding
The mango pudding was yummy, with slices of fresh mango in it.
* SGD 1 = ± IDR 7,500
