Back to my Singapore trip last month, that night, me and my friend were looking for a place to eat at Vivo City. After wandering for a while, finally we entered this Japanese restaurant called Aoba - Hokkaido Ramen.
The place wasn't too big, but quite comfortable to dine in. You could feel a strong Japanese ambience there as you could see from the pictures above, the walls were decorated with Japanese style drawings.
And here goes a slight review about the food:
Agedashi Tofu (SGD 4.90++)
The tofu was quite good, it was soft inside and I loved the texture of the fried tofu skin.
Cha Shu Don (SGD 5.90++)
Actually, I wanted to try their ramen, but I thought, I already had enough noodle dishes on that trip, so I decided to go for a rice dish. I picked their Cha Shu Don, it was a bowl of rice topped with small slices of pork, half boiled egg, chopped scallions, and lettuce. It was a warm and nice bowl of Cha Shu Don, not the best I ever had though. The cha shu wasn't as much I expected.
Chicken Karaage (SGD 4.90++)
That night, I really wanted to eat something fried, so I ordered their Chicken Karaage. The Chicken Karaage was quite good also, perfectly fried, but the taste was a bit bland for me.
Overall the dining experience was quite good, maybe next time I should try their ramen, since it was their speciality.
